BSA A/B Health Form

Every scout participating in any Pack activity needs the BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A and B) on file. It's a simple two-page form that lasts for the entire scouting year.

Parts A and B can be filled out at home — no doctor visit needed. Parts A/B/C together are required for longer events (over 72 hours), and the C section does need a physician's signature.

Where to send it

Bring the completed form to your scout's first meeting, or email a scanned copy to allenfamilyst.serra@gmail.com.

Camping gear list

Heading out for your first campout? Here's the core gear list. Don't go out and buy everything — borrow what you can, and we can help connect you with other families who have spares.

  • Sleeping bag rated for the season
  • Sleeping pad or air mattress
  • Pillow and warm layers
  • Flashlight or headlamp + extra batteries
  • Water bottle

Optional but nice

Our annual fundraiser

Popcorn fundraiser

The Pack popcorn fundraiser covers most of our activity costs throughout the year — campouts, range days, the Pinewood Derby, and more. That means families don't have to pay out of pocket for events.

Scouts learn real-world skills selling popcorn: setting goals, talking with neighbors, handling money, and earning rewards based on what they sell. It's one of the most popular parts of the program.

How scouts can sell

  • Show & sell: Pack tables at local stores
  • Wagon sales: Door-to-door in your neighborhood (with a parent)
  • Online: Through Scouting America's Trail's End platform

Faith & scouting

Religious emblems

A Scout is reverent. Scouting America's Religious Emblems Program is optional, with programs for over 42 different faith organizations that encourage scouts to grow stronger in their own faith.

Religious emblems are not earned through scouting itself. Each is run by the scout's own religious community, and worn proudly on the scout uniform.

Catholic emblems

  • Light of Christ — Kindergarten through 2nd grade
  • Parvuli Dei ("Children of God") — 3rd through 5th grade

Catholic emblems are obtained in partnership with the Orange County Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting.

For families of other faiths

The official BSA Religious Emblems chart lists every available emblem by faith tradition. The P.R.A.Y. awards (praypub.org) are the religious emblems for non-denominational Christians.
